It's getting warmer. The clocks have gone forward and the seagulls on my window ledge are preparing to nest. Yes, Spring is here at last in the UK (though there's a threat of snow next week!). To mark this I've gone for a slight visual change on this blog. Out goes the headache inducing Orange header and in comes a fresh Spring like green. Not quite the radical changes that Bigstock and 123RF made to their sites recently but I hope it gives it a bit of a refresh.
Any opinions welcome. Regards, David.
Hints, tips and progress reports on my journey as a Microstock photographer. 10th Anniversary 2008-2018
Back in the Seventies and Eighties I founded and ran several Fleet Street photo agencies specialising in stock images of celebrities from pop stars to politicians. These were syndicated to the National and International press and Television. These days I am active in the Microstock world and this blog charts my journey as well as, hopefully, providing inspiration and ideas to others. Image buyers should also find this blog useful with links to my portfolios and regular updates on new uploads. Unless otherwise stated all images are my copyright and may not be reproduced or copied. Comments are very welcome but will be reviewed before publication. Enjoy your visit. Regards, David.

yes, the green is certainly easier on the eyes than orange. :-)
Yes, that's what I thought. I think I only went for the orange because that was the colour of the sample template I used (and I didn't have a clue how to change it then!). Regards, David.
Seems there is even more that can be done to the look of the blog pages now:

Although i have to say i am a bit worried about messing things up and not being able to put it back together again so will leave alone for the moment! :)
Yes, thanks, I saw that link. But, likewise, I don't want to mess about to much - just in case! BTW I enjoyed reading your blog right through today. One surprise: you actually signed up to Workingtitle images? I'd be facinated to hear how that one goes (is it still 15p a sale?). Talking of Brit sites I'm about to do a post on Britishimages.co.uk which seems to have just re-surfaced after a year of vanishing. I've got 445 pix on that one (zero sales!). Regards, David.
Hi - thanks for reading the blog.
Well, according to WT Images in their FAQ it's still 15p although i still can't upload without getting an error message. And i have tried several Mac based browsers.
Can't email them about it as their online contact us form also gives an error so looks like i'll have to wait.
They are still in BETA stage and their front page is not open for business yet:
"We are currently in beta and currently not selling images. Be sure to check back soon".
Guess i'll just have to check back soon. ;)
I had booked marked Britishimages.co.uk but haven't had a chance to look at them more closely yet. I'll check them out this week and blog about my experiences should i go with them.
Regards, Davey
